The Pediatric/Adult Asthma Coalition of New Jersey is working with schools, physicians, health insurance companies, community groups and environmental agencies to reach all individuals in New Jersey with the most effective methods for managing their asthma.
 

                                         
May is Asthma Awareness Month  
PACNJ is featured this month on New Jersey's Middle-Brook Regional Health Commission's cable show "Public Health Matters."  In towns served by Piscataway Community TV (PCTV) "Public Health Matters" will discuss asthma with Dr. Arthur Torre and Sandra Fusco-Walker.  The show will air Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 pm and Thursday evenings at 8:30 pm.  Visit www.middlebrookhealth.org and click on the television image on the right for more information.

Congratulations to Newark Public Schools, the largest school district in  New Jersey with nearly 80 schools.  On Wednesday, May 21, 2008, we will celebrate all the Newark public schools receiving the PACNJ Asthma Friendly School Award.
 
                                                  
Our Statewide PACNJ Asthma Friendly School Award Ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008.

In New Jersey, child care centers are working in partnership with families and health care providers to control asthma symptoms and reduce absenteeism.
