Thank you for contacting the American Lung Association in
New Jersey. Due to a heavy volume of phone calls and an
active schedule of programs, we have prepared information
below to answer the most frequently asked questions. 
This information is for New Jersey residents only.

Camp Superkids

Unfortunately the American Lung Association in New
Jersey will not be offering Camp Superkids in 2009
due to the current economic conditions and their ability
to fund the program this year.  They are in the process
of establishing a partnership with Dragonfly Forest to
offer asthma camp for New Jersey children in 2010,
and they can use your help.

Lung Health
Question:

Better Breathers Clubs
Question:
  Do you have questions regarding Better Breathers Clubs, support groups for adults with asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis and other lung diseases?
Answer:  We will send you a complete list of the Better Breathers Clubs located in your area – please send an email with your location to sstallworth@lunginfo.org. Or you can go to http://www.lungusa.org for the complete list of Better Breathers Clubs in New Jersey.

Quit Smoking
Question: 
Are you interested in a quit smoking program? 
Answer:  We can send you information regarding our Freedom from Smoking program if you email your request and your location to sstallworth@lunginfo.org

Freedom From Smoking® is also available FREE on-line
Freedom from Smoking is a 8-session group program led by experts who understand why people smoke. The program uses a positive behavioral change approach that teaches participants how to become non-smokers for good.

Since 2001 The Pediatric/Adult Asthma Coalition of New Jersey, sponsored by the American Lung Association of New Jersey, has been awarded grants from the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, with funds provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under the current Co-operative Agreement 5U59EH000206-2. Additional funding has been provided by the United States Environmental Protection Agency under the current Agreements XA97256707-1, XA98284401-4 and XA97250908-0; and through the Health Resources and Services Administration via Mount Sinai School of Medicine. These state and federal grants total $1,396,376 and represent 93% of the total amount of grants received to date in support of the Coalition. The remaining 7% of funding for the PACNJ was provided by corporate grants in the amount of $93,500. (October 2008) Sponsored by
