About Us    En Espanol

In January 2000, the American Lung Association of
New Jersey and the New Jersey Thoracic Society
initiated the formation of The Pediatric/Adult Asthma
Coalition of New Jersey (PACNJ) to act as a statewide
clearinghouse for asthma programs and services.

Today the American Lung Association of the Mid-Atlantic,
serving Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia,
sponsors the Pediatric/Adult Asthma Coalition of New Jersey

With over 70 members on six task forces, PACNJ is working
with schools, child care providers, health care providers,
health insurers, community groups and environmental
agencies to reach all individuals in New Jersey with the
most effective methods for managing their asthma.

Our programs and information are based on the “Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma”
from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
